I’m still here!

As many of you know, I started a new teaching position at the beginning of the school year, I am one of three special education teachers at a local high school and have about twenty students on my case load- which means a lot of tracking, monitoring, mentoring, and IEP stuff. I also direct teach two English 11 & 12 classes in the resource room and team teach 9, 10, an 11 English with general education teachers as lead. I also go to an Economics class and take notes! LOL It keeps me busy during the day for sure. This also means… more college and getting the endorsement to add Mild Interventions to my current educator license. I have a 5-12 Historical Perspectives, Sociology and Psychology teaching license and a Pk-12 Building Level Administrator (Principal PK-12) license. You guessed it… that ain’t enough! LOL I had taken five classes previously toward special education/ABA but that didn’t “count” because the course descriptions weren’t close enough… ugh. Needless to say, between work and college classes, I don’t have a whole lot of energy left at the end of the day. But no fear my dears… I will get a groove and be posting recipes and more… I’m still getting my bearings and adjusting… Until later… and if I don’t post before… Have a wonderful Thanksgiving… we are smoking a turkey breast and some other items for an upcoming family visit, hopefully I’ll remember to take pictures! We’ll share the results! Stay safe and warm! (Btw… the picture is one of the “teacher” shirts I just had to have, since I get to dress down on Fridays! I had to have it… thank you Amazon.com)
