Definitely MONDAY!

I spent much of the afternoon trying … and I do mean trying… to reorganize my home office… it hasn’t really been used since I stopped working from home and… as you can imagine… it became the dumping ground for a lot of stuff. Oh well, this seems to be a good change in its layout and we’ll see how it goes. I then got to work on all the fun that is filing for unemployment. I’m trying to be positive. Its even more complicated than I remember. But it is what it is. I’m still applying for positions and hoping that something will come through. Wish me luck!

So on to everyone’s favorite PIZZA! I have made this crust numerous times and it is always a hit! WE love it. I forgot to take a picture of the crust before it was loaded with yumminess… but let’s just say… it is super good!

Before cooking

Crust:

1/2 c water (warm)

1 tsp honey

1 pk yeast

1 tbs olive oil/avocado oil/lard (your choice)

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 c flour

1 tsp each: garlic powder, onion powder, anise seed

2 tbs basil or Italian seasoning

You will need also need a sealable container – I spray the inside with either olive or avocado oil spray, and a pizza pan of your choice – I used a cast iron pizza pan – which when making thin crust makes it crunchy!

Mix first three and proof

in other bowl, mix dry ingredients and oil. Mix in water-yeast-honey until it pulls away from sides. Lightly knead to form ball. Place in sealed container and place in warm draft free location for at least 1 hour.  After, remove from container and lightly knead and shape to fit your pan. Remember the thinner you make the crust the thinner it will be.  Add your favorite toppings. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes. Viola! Pizza!

Mine came out super thin and crunchy – which was wonderful! We usually have thicker crust but it was great for a change! Bon Appetite!
